This statement is so cliche, yet so very true. I was born and raised in Golden, Colorado. This is probably one of the best places to grow up in. Golden is fairly centralized and absolutely beautiful. I definitely miss the mountains.

What a gorgeous picture, Emily! I cannot really imagine having a picture-postcard view like that from my backyard. We've got lovely trees where we live, which is great... but mountains...? Nope. That would be so inspiring to see every day! Wonderful! Of course, the mountains are some of the most memorable features of the Indian landscape too, and of the mythological India also. One student did a project last year where the sacred mountain Kailasa was the storyteller: Tales of Kailasa. Maybe you will want to get to know something about the mountains of India also! :-)
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, that isn't my backyard, but it is a good friend's. So, I get to visit :) Its incredibly inspiring. There are so many places in this world that leave me in awe due to the beauty. I skimmed Tales of Kailasa and it made me excited to learn more! I love stories, so I can't wait to dive in.
